Krasnaya Polyana.

Russia has an almost 100 year commitment to the Olympic Movement, is one of the great winter sports powers with 293 medals over 12 Olympic Winter Games and is renowned for its sporting excellence and quality of its athletes. This will be the first time that the Russian Federation will host the Olympics; after the Soviet Union hosted the 1980 Summer Olympic Games in Moscow which attracted over 5 mln spectators. During Olympics-1980 new Olympic records were set 241 times over the course of the competitions and world records were beaten 97 times. Tourist services and accommodation for the athletes and visitors of Moscow Olympics in 1980 were provided by Intourist. Intourist also was a partner of Winter Olympics in Saraevo-1984 and First Goodwill games in Moscow-1986. Intourist hosted the official delegation of International Olympic Committee while their visit to Moscow in 2001.

There is no need to wait until Olympics will start to visit Sochi. As a major Russian resort Sochi attracts visitors all over the year. The climate in Sochi is subtropical and the city usually has 200 sunny days a year. The average summer temperature is +24° C and +5° C in the winter. You can swim in the sea from April until October, and go skiing from October through May. There are no large industrial facilities in the Sochi area, so the air quality, especially in Krasnaya Polyana area, is considered among the very best in the world.
